My journey with French flavours in Australia began in Sydney, where I spent five years running my own crêperie. When I moved to Brisbane, I opened a coffee shop that I named Bistro Valery — a tribute to my grandfather, a true food lover who lived on Rue Paul Valéry in the heart of Paris.

While the physical doors of the coffee shop have since closed, the name and the memories behind it mean the world to me. I couldn’t let that legacy go. After seeing the high demand for our products at local events, I decided to pour everything into creating the perfect catering experience.

Today, Bistro Valery lives on through every hand-picked selection we deliver. It is my way of bringing a little piece of my grandfather’s Paris straight to your table here in Brisbane.

How far in advance should I place my order?

For larger events (over 100 guests), we recommend booking at least three weeks in advance to ensure availability.
For smaller private or corporate events, we require a minimum of three days’ notice.

Do you offer same-day delivery?

While most of our products require advance notice, we do offer a selection of sweets and pastries available for same-day delivery.

I’m vegetarian — can I customise the flavours in my box?

Absolutely.
We offer carefully curated collections designed for balanced flavour pairings, but we are more than happy to help you create a custom selection.

Where is your pickup location?

We are based in the Cannon Hill area.
Once your order is confirmed, you will receive our exact address and pickup instructions via email.

What is your cancellation policy?

We do not offer refunds. However, if you are unable to proceed on your original date, we are happy to reschedule your order and arrange a new delivery or pickup time, subject to availability.

Is there a minimum order for delivery?

We offer delivery within approximately a 10 km radius of Cannon Hill for orders over $100.
Pickup is always available, with no minimum order requirement.

Where do you source your ingredients?

Our pastries are made using premium French butter and French flour to ensure authentic texture and flavour.
We source our fresh produce from trusted Australian farmers and suppliers.

Do you offer gluten-free options?

While most of our products contain gluten, we do offer a limited selection of gluten-free options.

How does the food arrive?

Our catering is designed to be ready to graze.
Your order will arrive in elegant, eco-friendly catering boxes that are styled to be placed directly on your table. No plating required — simply open and enjoy.

Can my order arrive at a specific time?

We typically provide a 1.5-hour delivery window, as delivery schedules may vary throughout the day.
If you require a specific arrival time, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Do you cater for dietary requirements or allergies?

We do our best to minimise the risk of cross-contamination; however, our kitchen handles gluten and dairy regularly. For this reason, our products are not recommended for coeliac customers or those with severe allergies.
That said, we are happy to customise flavours within our menu where possible. Please contact us to discuss your dietary requirements before placing your order.

How do I place an order?

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your preferred delivery or pickup date and time.

    A friend of mine had often told me how good the pastries at this French bakery are, so today I tried a few things for the first time, a pistachio mini croissant, mini chocolate doughnuts, and an apple cinnamon muffin. They almost seemed to melt the moment they went into my mouth. I usually don't enjoy desserts or pastries that are overly sweet, so I was a little worried at first, but it turned out to be completely unnecessary. The sweetness was perfectly balanced and the texture was soft and light, almost like cotton candy. I finished everything in no time. Now I am already regretting not buying more.
